Can you handle a keyboard as well as you handle the curves in the road?
We’re looking for people to write articles for Full Throttle Law.
As a rider writer, you act as the eyes and ears for everybody who wants details on the riding lifestyle from reporting on events you attended to reviewing equipment, bikes, and the latest news. Got some advice about motorcycle camping? Let’s hear it. Want to tell the story of how you got back on the bike after a bad wreck? We’re ready. You have the insiders view of living and riding in Nevada, Arizona, or across the USA? Give it to us.
In particular we’re looking for people who will go to and report on local events and rides, visit and review local biker-owned businesses, and write about the rider lifestyle.
Examples of topics we’d love to see:
- A report on a recent Nevada-based biker event with lots of photos.
- A list of must-have gear for first-time riders.
- Advice on camping on a motorcycle.
- Speculation on the future of Harley Davidson.
- Reviews of specific motorcycle models.
- Reviews and recommendations for local biker-owned businesses.
- Advice on what your next bike should be.
- Stupid mistakes first-time riders make.
- An interview with a local “motorcycle influencer” such as a person who organizes weekly rides, or somebody who makes videos of rides.
- A list of essential wrenching skills.
- A list of helmet laws in all 50 states.
- Why cafe racers suck. Or why they’re awesome. You tell us.
- What’s the Harley Death Wobble, and is it real?
And, of course, anything related to motorcycle injury, the law, and living in the riding community.
Requirements:
Commit to write at least 1 article per month for Full Throttle Law, with a length of at least 700 words. Shorter length reports are acceptable if there are a lot of photos instead.- Excellent writing skills are essential
- All writing must be totally original
- Come up with your own writing topics each month (we can help brainstorm if needed, but you need to pick the topics you know you can write on)
- Provide at least one photo for your articles, along with captions for those photos (we can help you source photos for free if needed)
- Follow our social media and share your published work with your friends! (ok, that’s not a requirement, but come on.)

We will pay $50 for every accepted and published article under 1000 words. For 1000 – 2000 words we will pay $80. For 2000+ words we will pay $150 or negotiate a higher rate for more in-depth or research intensive writing.
